You guys have to watch Brit Hume tonight, especially the report (two thirds of the way in) on the catered meals to troops in Iraq. Oh. My. Goodness. Salad bars, stir fries, a pastry chef, six different main courses, 9 flavours of ice cream… They need to put that report on the Army/Marine webpages and let the enlistments roll in. I mean, c’mon! A pastry chef!
Then, earlier in the program, can’t miss this Quote of the Day from Donald Rumsfeld:
At the hearing, Rumsfeld was also peppered with questions about the Army’s recruiting problems. He shot down speculation about a possible draft.
“I think the only people who could conceivably be talking about a draft are people who are speaking from pinnacles of near-perfect ignorance. The last thing we need is a draft. We just don’t.”
