I got this fervid plea for the continued health and hardiness of our founding document from last Friday’s Best of the Web:

The Busheviks count their victories; the Dems count their losses and take pride in their “symbolic” votes. The difference is between winners and losers: only, in this case, the Constitution and our democracy are at stake.

So, they think that one man can completely change the government and put at risk any innocent American citizen, undoing everything the founders put in the Constitution, and they still want to protect it?

And then you listen to Ted Kennedy‘s hysterical, impassioned speech condemning the failures of his own legislative body and hailing the successes of single men in changing the course of our history, and you kind of wonder where his loyalties lie.
