And what’s with the standing-up format? What is this, TRL?
But Bush is in good form here!
Lauer saying, in effect, “Aren´t we becoming the same as the enemy?” is unbelievably lame. This man is so naive, he has no idea what people are capable of doing to each other, and what islamofascists are actually doing all the time. There is a big difference between a waterboarding and an acid bath.
Yeah, well, every one here can agree that Lauer is an idiot, but it’s the same as O’Reilly on Letterman about Cindy Sheehan the other month, when everyone on the right was crowing about how absurd Letterman sounded and how he finally conceded defeat (“I don’t know what I’m talking about”) but everyone on the Left was crowing about how he put up a fight. If you don’t listen to the words, then shouting is all the battle, apparently. Sort of like that scene in Indiana Jones with the guy swinging his sword in all sorts of fancy ways. If Indy hadn’t out and killed him (evidence of winning) then these people would have gone away thinking “Wow he totally won that one!” So here we’re all saying to ourselves “God Lauer’s an idiot” but the Left looks at it and sees Bush getting agitated and poking him in the chest with his finger and they’re probably saying “Ah hah! The slightest challenge and his true, cruel, despot nature comes out!”
Besides, it’s disrespectful.
