I remember the old days when Tipper & Al were the scourges of Hollywood because of her anti-obscenity campaign. Now she’s onstage with the Chili Peppers? Everything changed for them when stars heckled them at a conference in NY in the 80s.

That’s probably what his plan is. The energy-glutton pop stars were starting to believe him, so he had to whip them back into energy-gluttony, and he has to keep them there to try to end the world, just so he doesn’t come off looking like an ass.
