The Sunday Times – US is‘worst’ imperialist: archbishop
THE Archbishop of Canterbury has said that the United States wields its power in a way that is worse than Britain during its imperial heyday.
Rowan Williams claimed that America’s attempt to intervene overseas by “clearing the decks” with a “quick burst of violent action” had led to “the worst of all worlds”.
Now, with all the trouble the Anglican church has, why would he go and say something as silly as that?
In a wide-ranging interview with a British Muslim magazine…
Ah.

Okay… is it just me, or does the Archbishop look evil? I mean, the eyebrows… and the beard… really. He should retire as an archbishop and play Satan in some Hollywood movie.

Nah, not evil. Just druid-like.
Perhaps he’s been reading Mark Steyn too. Perhaps he’s actually quite plugged into the neo-con European death-watch circuit. He knows that those Anglicans who aren’t joining the Catholic church aren’t procreating, and he knows that his embarrassing efforts to ingratiate himself with Muslims is only speeding that exodus which isn’t dying out, but if it works he can unload himself of the unproductive Anglicans in the world and instead hopefully convert the country’s rather more propagative peoples?
