I asked Peter to add one small Tumblr box to my sidebar.

Which meant he had to completely rebuild my blog theme. He’s spent the morning and a bit of the afternoon doing that and now he’s about to punt it over to the live site. If I disappear for the next week or so, assume I’m cowering in a corner while Peter hurls things angrily in the general direction of the internet. Or maybe this will go smoothly and I’ll be back posting in the next 5 minutes. In any event: Under Construction.

Update (12.23):

Apparently I wasn’t paying enough attention. At the time of writing the above, Peter had given up building the theme from scratch and was just switching servers. When he went to bed at 11.30 last night, he was a mass of shakes and chills. Apparently The Great Christmas Server Switch of 2009 was quick (compared to past attempts, 12 hours of work ain’t bad) but literally broke him (he woke up with a sore throat yesterday).

So with the blog done he just had to finish the email when he gave up and went to bed. So I awoke to this window:

…But bigger. But he got up for a few minutes and transferred the rest of everything over. So you should be seeing a Tumblr window and tag cloud (hurrah!) in the side bar and an update to this post. If you’re not, try forcing a reload. And that’s your morning Catch-22.
